Julia is a seasoned multimedia specialist who has been active as a visual content creator for over a decade. She graduated from Augsburg University in Minneapolis, Minnesota, there she studied Studio Art Production and Film Production with a minor in Liberation Theology. After graduating, Julia lived in El Salvador and taught video editing, photography, and art in Spanish. When Julia returned to the United States, she began an MFA program studying Film and Electronic Media with a focus on social justice through American University, School of Communication. Her thesis documentary From Buds to Blossoms focuses on the sustainability of urban agriculture across the United States; it was screened in film festivals internationally. After receiving her MFA, Julia managed the Doyle Forman Theater within the School of Communication where she organized film festivals, maintained technology and equipment and assisted professors as well as students. In her free time, Julia loves to garden, capture photos of the environment, and cover protests related to social justice.
