Dr. Walter Park is the Associate Dean of Graduate Studies, College of Arts and Sciences, and a Professor of Economics at American University in Washington, D.C. He serves on the editorial board of the International Journal of IP Management and on the advisory editorial board of Research Policy. He has been a special sworn employee at the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis, and has consulted for the Center for Global Development, European Patent Office, Industry Canada, Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, World Bank, and the World Intellectual Property Organization, among others. His research focuses on intellectual property systems, R&D analysis, productivity and business cycles, multinational firms, and international knowledge transfers. His articles have appeared in Economic Inquiry, Journal of International Business Studies, Research Policy, Review of World Economics, and World Patent Information, among others.
